The Capital One Venture Card has so many benefits and will help you save so much money while traveling abroad. Not only will it help you get cash back on your purchases abroad, but this card also gives you high cash rewards, has no foreign transaction fees and so much more! I have used this card in every country I have ever traveled to, and it has saved me so much money! I highly recommend for so many reasons!

Why should I get the Capital One Venture Credit Card?

No Foreign Transaction Fees

No foreign transaction fees on it’s own will save you so much money abroad. If you don’t have a card that doesn’t have no foreign transaction fees you will end up paying a fee for every purchase you make abroad! That can add up real quick! Why pay extra money if you don’t have to! This card has a $0 transaction fee no matter what country you are in. That is a HUGE BENEFIT. Don’t waste money just because you have a bad card. Get a card that doesn’t charge you for not being in your home country!

Before you go make sure you alert your bank on which locations you will be so they do not flag your card for fraud.

Cash Back on Literally Everything!

The Capital One Credit card gives you cash back on every single purchase you make. Everything you buy on this card will give you money back to put towards travel expenses. You can use the points towards future travel or get paid back for travel expenses that you already made.

Earn Miles

Every time you spend money using your Capital one Venture Credit Card you will earn miles. You can earn up to 2 miles per every dollar you spend. This can really add up and help you save money when planning trips. The rewards money can be used for almost anything travel related. Make sure to do research beforehand or book straight through the card to be sure it is covered.

Sign up Bonus

The Capital One Venture Credit Card will give you a sign up bonus if you spend a certain amount ($3000) in the first three months of having the card. This is an equivalent of earning 50,000 bonus miles to spend on any travel purchase. You can also earn an extra 100,000 bonus miles if you spend $20,000 in the first 12 months of having the Capital One Venture credit card. This is more free money just for using the card!

No Annual Fee

Capital one Venture Credit Card has two options when you decide to sign up. You can sign up for $0 annual fee or $95 annual fee. Each option comes with different perks.

$0 Yearly Fee

Choosing to go with the Capital one Venture Credit Card that has no yearly fee still will still give you cash back on all purchases, but you won’t get a sign up bonus or earn as much back as you would on the $95 yearly option. The free option with the Capital One Venture Credit cars will earn you 1.25x miles for every dollar spent. This is still a great option if you don’t spend as much money.

$95 Yearly Fee

Choosing to go with the Capital one Venture Credit Card that has a $95 yearly fee will give you a lot more perks. For example, you will get all the rewards bonuses (as highlighted above) if you spend the correct amount of money or more in the allowed time period. You will also receive a higher amount of cash back (miles) if you have the paid card. You will get 2x miles with the paid version of the card vs only getting 1.25x with the free option.

The Capital One Venture Credit Card will cover up to $100 credit for Global Entry or TSA Pre Check when you use your Venture card. The card will also reimburse you for the TSA Pre Check application fee.

TSA Pre Check is a very great benefit when you travel to save a lot of time at the airport. Travelers with TSA Pre Check are invited to a separate TSA Precheck only line to go through security. This will give you less time to wait around in the airport. Everyone loves saving time!
